Library news
Thank you to all students and families who made an extra special effort to return library loans before the end of term. We look forward to the opportunity to match happy borrowers with the right books again this term.
Parents, if your children need assistance to select just the right stories or if you would like to find a quiet place to read with them before school, you are welcome to come up to the library when it is open on
Mondays, Wednesdays or Thursdays
between 8.45am and 9.15am.
Please note that the library is a classroom so between 9.15am and 3pm the teacher librarians are teaching and are unable to assist visitors.
Library bag
Library class visits have commenced for all students. Please ensure your Year 1-2 child has a Home Reading bag ($10 available from the library.) Primary students may wish to use a Library/Excursion Bag-with drawstring ($10 available from the Uniform Shop.)
All students must use a waterproof library bag to carry library books to and from school. Not only does this make it easier to keep track of books on loan to your child, it reduces the risk of costly damage to our books. Families are expected to pay the costs of replacing lost or damaged library books or home readers. Thank you for assisting to maintain our school library collection by ensuring children bring a waterproof bag to school on library days.
Year 3-6 Students:
respecting our shared library resources by bringing a library bag can now earn House points!
Please remember that the library is a classroom and library staff are unable to answer any queries during classtimes. Parents are welcome to visit the library with their children on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings between 8.45-9.15am. Please contact Carmel Grimmett, Teacher Librarian if you have questions about your children's library loans or access to the NSW Premier's Reading Challenge (carmel.grimmett@det.nsw.edu.au)
