Fee assistance for participation in the Music Program

Fee assistance, provided by the SHPS P&C, is available on a limited basis for interested students who may need assistance with funding to participate in the Ensemble Program.  The school will provide fee assistance for one music student per year to cover payment of ensemble and instrument hire fees for the year.  The assistance does not cover the costs of private tutoring. Ongoing assistance for the student will be reviewed on a yearly basis.

The Principal will determine which student will be provided with assistance.  All information provided will be kept in the strictest confidence. To enquire, contact office staff, state your enquiry and make a time to meet with the Principal.  Fee assistance must be requested by Week 6 of Term 1.

Recorders

Advanced Recorder

The focus of the Advanced Recorder Group is to build on the skills learned in Beginner Recorder, as well as learning the repertoire for the Festival of Instrumental Music at the Sydney Town Hall.

The Advanced Group is a recorder consort, which means we perform pieces written for descant, treble, tenor and bass recorders. Students in this group have the opportunity to develop their skills on a range of recorders.

Recorder Group is on Tuesdays at 8.00 am in the Music room. The focus of this group will be to learn the repertoire for the Festival of Instrumental Music at the Opera House later this year.

We are pleased to offer a Junior Recorder class for year 2 students only.
